Read more →As of this summer, we stock the standard conical shape signal flags numbers, zero - nine. So why are the numbered flags a different shape, you might be wondering, why are they so different from rectangular letter flags? #Wusupwitdat? Bike Flags make your kids SAFE!
Read more →There have been way too many bike deaths recently and they are totally unnecessary. As drivers are increasingly distracted (myself included!) it's increasingly important to be LOUD on the road, in the visual sense. ESPECIALLY when I have the most precious cargo in tow. So we spelled out J's name and get a lot of fun feedback from drivers, pedestrians, and just about everyone, especially in our seaside city!

Read more →This past summer (2014) we tested our flags by hoisting them up to the spreaders of Tom's Ranger 26 Sea Shanti to see if the flags would hold up to the very high winds of Narragansett Bay - They were up all day, everyday, without a break. Here's the results below. I'm happy to say they held up very well considering how windy our summer / fall was.The stitching held up with the exception of the "V" flag - you'll notice a small undoing of the stitching in the lower right hand corner. New Products on the way...
Read more →Our first NEW product is going to be a signal flag skirt! We've got a couple of skirts in the works - we're taking actual signal flags and sewing them together to try one variety, and then we're going to print a signal flag pattern on cotton fabric and sew together a skirt as a second option. There is nothing better than a girl in a cute skirt! I will post photos as soon as we have some prototypes.... This is the pattern used for the fabric ordered from Spoonflower.com... can't wait to get it in!

Rigorous outdoor testing
Read more →We test all our products for real world use. We've been flying these flags on the 26 foot Ranger Shanti, in Narragansett Bay since the beginning of summer, and they still look awesome. "They add fantastic color to the boat and they look great" says Tom Garraway, Captain. Narragansett Bay is known for serious wind all summer long. We'll take the flags down in October and post photos on how they did. We've said it before and we'll say it again... - the prudent mariner strikes colors (takes down flags) in over 20kts of breeze!
